The most famous building in Amsterdam is Anne Frankhuis which attracts attracts over half a million tourists each year, it was here that Anne Frank wrote her famous diaries whilst hiding during the Second World War. A boat trip on the many canals is a good way to see Amsterdam and it is from here that you can really appreciate how picturesque the city is, with its tall, narrow houses, imposing arched bridges and the fabulous boathouses which line the canals. Amsterdam is also famous for its nightlife and there are many bars, restaurants and clubs to explore.
