There are just 23 rooms at the Hotel Atlas all of which are spacious and have en-suite facilities. Room features include cable TV, direct dial telephone and private safe. | Amsterdam is a lively, bustling city, the centre of which is just the right size to be able to explore on foot or on one of the many bicycles that can be hired, cycling being a Dutch national past time. There are a number of museums worth a visit. Rijksmuseum is the country's top art museum and the place to go to see old masters. The nearby Van Gogh museum houses nearly 200 of the artist's paintings. The most famous building in Amsterdam is Anne Frankhuis which attracts over half a million tourists each year, it was here that Anne Frank wrote her famous diaries whilst hiding during the Second World War. A boat trip on the many canals is a good way to see Amsterdam and it is from here that you can really appreciate how picturesque the city is, with its tall, narrow houses, imposing arched bridges and the fabulous boathouses which line the canals. Amsterdam is also famous for its nightlife and there are many bars, restaurants and clubs to explore. |
